Running Accomplishments:

Completed first marathon, 4/25/10, at Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon.  Completed Cowtown 1/2 marathon in Feb 2010. Ran first 5K in March 2009...that started it!

Short-Term Running Goals:

improve endurance, distance, speed

Long-Term Running Goals:

Complete OK City marathon each year. Run 10k or 1/2 marathon each quarter.  Make Boston qualification time...MAYBE run at Boston....I don't know if that is really something I want yet.

Personal:

Married (12 years - love it!!). Mom of 2 girls (love that too). Christian. Untli March 2009, hated the idea of running distance. Love my family, friends, church...couldn't be who I am without them.

bike 30 min...run 30 min

When I got off the bike after 30 minutes, I just planned to run my normal 5K distance....barely made 2.5 in 30 minutes. WOW!!  Running after biking is hard!!  I cannot believe how NOT prepared for this tri I am...and it's only 3 1/2 weeks away.  I hope I find some magic potion somewhere to help me figure out how to be better at this or I'm going to embarrass myself big time!

swim 30 min   bike 30 min   

crashed my bike at 0 miles per hour.  yep, the lock-in petals got me. i had stopped to cross thru an intersection, disengaged the right foot properly but then lost my balance to the left side and proceded to violently yank my left foot off the petal only to reallize too late that my foot was attached to the bike. i left a little skin on the ground and have possible sprained my elbow and/or shoulder. guess i won't do that again...maybe.

the swim was good, the ride was slow. my legs are so worn out right now. i'm actually a tad bit sore from the run and quite tired from the swim. whose big idea was it to pack in all these activities into one event?!?  aaah, i'm not complaining. i like it...just whining b/c i can.

30 min run scheduled

I was out for about 37 so I'm sure I got more than 3 miles but I didn't keep up with it. It was a great run though. I love evening runs and I needed it so bad. Nothing beats the feeling of the road beneath my feet.

 

Officially dreading tomorrow.
